This project needed a fast branding effort to build a unique yet matching identity to Æra, focusing on a landing page with a compelling visual story to increase bookings. I was in charge of branding and photography, taking pictures that capture the experience's charm to attract visitors. A key goal was to make the online site easy to find on search engines, especially for terms like "king crab" and "Tromsø."
The "rough luxury" style from Æra, with an added touch of culinary sophistication, is the aesthetic basis, highlighted by handwritten fonts in the logo and a vibrant red color to indicate the dining theme. This color choice and premium photography align perfectly to present an exclusive eating experience.
Targeting tourists looking for a special food experience, it combines a scenic van tour with the chance to pick and eat fresh king crab in a stunning location.
With the tight deadline, I quickly moved to the UX/UI design and wireframing, using my knowledge of Æra's branding to speed up the creative process. Focused on showcasing the king crabs and beautiful fjords through captivating photography, the website's design was finalized swiftly, capturing the high-quality King Crab Tromsø experience.
Though it's just the beginning, the initial response has been very positive, laying a solid foundation for King Crab Tromsø's future achievements. Using the experience and successes from the Æra project, this new venture is set to become a signature experience in Tromsø, appealing to tourists with its unique combination of adventure and high-end dining.
